For Acnes and Pimples

Tulsi leaf oil is effective in controlling acne problems.

Steaming results in opening the blocked pores and removes the dirt and infection. But it also stimulates sebaceous gland to produce more oil to skin surface. An astringent face lotion should therefore always follow steaming. Decoction of licorice root and arjun bark is good for closing pores and controlling sebum production.

Pack of manjishtha powder, shalmali, hridra helps in preventing acne pimples.

For Under Eye Dark Circles

Place cold cucumber slices or tea bags stored in the freezer, over the closed eyelids

A massage of area around eyes with almond oil also helps in improving the complexion around eyes.
For cooling effect to eyes paste of the herb nutmeg (Jaiphala) made with milk may be applied all around the eyes and over the eyelids.

Hair Care 

For giving shine and lustre to hair 

Add few leaves Hibiscus (China rose) to a glass of water. Heat it. The juice of a lime should be squeezed in the sieved mixture and it should be applied to the hair before shampooing.

Rinsing hair with lemon juice or vinegar

Dry peels of lemon and oranges should be used. This will maintain soft and silky hair and also removes dandruff from the scalp.

For Dandruff 

Two tablespoons of fenugreek (methi) seeds soaked overnight in water. The softened seeds should be grounded into a fine paste in the morning and applied over the scalp & left for half an hour and then washed thoroughly.

Use of a teaspoon of fresh limejuice for the last rinses while washing the hair is equally beneficial.

Loss of Hair

The oil from the amla, prepared by boiling dry pieces of amla in coconut oil, is a hair tonic for enriching hair growth.

A mixture of fresh amla juice and the limejuice used as a shampoo stimulates hair growth and prevent hair loss.

Mustard oil boiled with heena (mehndi) leaves is useful for the healthy growth of hair.
